Birthdays and new houses

I wish that i had the motivation and the patience to keep this up every week, month or even every other month... But, alas, I do not. There are just some things in life that we all have to accept. This is one that i have to accept. I do not journal, i do not blog enough, but I do take pictures. With that said, this post will be quite long, however I don't think anyone really wants to read too much. Hopefully the pictures can say enough for the past 4 months!!!
Carter turned 3 in July! WOW~ I couldn't believe it. We had a great day. His day was on a Sunday, so what a better way to spend that sunday than with Family. We had dinner at my sister's house and had ice cream and cake afterward. It was wonderful. At the time, Carter was overly obsessed with Rockets. I tried my best... I think I failed, but to a 3 year old- it was the greatest cake ever. Carter is growing and developing like crazy. He loves his numbers, ABC's and reading books. He is very imaginative. He is constantly doing voices or making things talk. He has a great sense of humor. Carter loves his family and is (most of the time) tender and sweet with Chase.
Chase turned 1 in August. It was a wonderful time to have a pool party. My in-laws were moving in just a few weeks, so we had to use it up as much as possible. Chase loves the pool. He is a very active child, so it is hard for him to not be able to do his own thing... my cousin brought this and it made his life a little better. The last year has gone so fast. Chase has such a sweet and happy attitude, that the last year has been amazingly happy and wonderful. Chase walks, runs, screams, runs, screams... and bites. That's right. He bites. He has a little temper and will let you know when he wants you to know something... :) Chase loves food and will eat anything you give him. He loves Carter and is constantly copying and doing whatever it is that he is doing.

At birthdays I sit and think about my boys. I love them more than I thought possible. I remember when Chase was born, I was scared I wouldn't love this beautiful child the same way i loved Carter... I was very wrong. I couldn't love Chase or Carter more. What a wonderful gift it is to be a mother. I get to be home. I get to play with them. I get to read them stories and watch their minds take in the world. I get to help them love life and its creator. I have a dear dear friend who is sharing her journey on her struggle to become a mother. I look at people that go through similar trials and I feel for them, but i also want them all to know that when they do get that special one that will come to them, naturally or through adoption... they will be wonderful parents and their children will be incredibly lucky to have such amazingly determined good people as their parents who would sacrifice anything for the love of their child.

Changing Times

It has been quite a while since the last post and my, how things change. Since last post, Jaromy has been accepted to Utah State University and will be starting the MBA program this fall, We have also moved out of our house and in with Jaromy's parents to save on one month of rent before we start the journey! It is a bitter sweet thing. It is exciting to start this and that Jaromy is so ready for it. However, it will be sad and hard to leave my family. I randomly think about the little things that wont happen anymore and become overwhelmingly sad. BUT- (if you buy two completos!) it is also so great to think about the friends we will make and the many things we will learn. We will be moving sometime in August. I have been looking and looking and looking for housing and jobs. It sure can get depressing when nothing falls into place. I am determined that this is for a reason. We feel very strong that the Lord agrees with this decision and so, he will help make it possible!! So... wish us luck!

On another note... we just had a Peterson Family reunion... IT WAS FABULOUS! My brothers came who live so far away and we were ALL together. It couldn't have been better. It really was a lot to ask for all of my family to travel here... so to those that are listening- Thank you! We went to Lagoon, had family pictures, Ate and Ate and ATE. We love to swim, eat popsicles, run in the sprinklers, eat more popsicles and swim again. Chase and Carter will soon have their birthdays. Chase is so close to walking and Carter is so close to pulling out all of my hair! :) just kidding. Carter is doing great and continuing to learn and grow!

Spring has Sprung!

So, Spring is here. I love this time of year. Carter, Chase and I could spend forever outside- if the weather would stay nice for longer than 3 days at a time! Chase has just realized that he loves the grass and dirt and exploring. Carter has realized that he is able to play by himself on the swing set (usually monsters are after him, or he is off to the park). Jaromy is staying busy working and studying for his test. I am trying not to go insane while potty training. Three days down, and sanity is still in place. Check back next week! :) No pictures this time... I decided to put them in a collage. I was going to post and then realized that every picture I have taken since last post is the same... to you. Not to me. But I sure do take a lot of pictures of my kids! Love them! Happy Spring!

So it has been awhile. It is funny, really, how often I get on to look at other people's blogs, but don't update my own. Just so we wont have the hugest update ever... i will hopefully be brief explaining what we have been up to the past few months.

NOVEMBER

In November my sister and my mom and I threw a baby shower for my sister, April. She was due at the beginning of December and having a GIRL!!! We were all so excited since there are not many girls in the family. It was a fun weekend, with lots of pink and bows!

Later that month was Thanksgiving. Since we had been with my family last year, it was Jaromy's family's turn. Well, due to some things that Jaromy's mom had to do in Utah... she was unable to make dinner. Therefore- I made my first Thanksgiving dinner.. complete with Turkey, rolls, pies, salad, potatoes and stuffing. It was a fun experience. The hardest thing, I thought, was to make everything and somehow keep it warm while something else cooked or finished or whatever... i don't like cold food! I was a little proud of my pie crust I made so i took a picture.
Too bad the pie didn't taste that great. The flour I used had gone bad.. therefore so did the crust. Sadness. It was a fun Thanksgiving.. Jaromy's parents decided they wanted to remove their wallpaper that weekend. So, needless to say, it was a busy weekend. On a different note.. we had no hot water that whole week before and after Thanksgiving making showers (and making dinner) not as fun as it could be. I truly gained a great appreciation for hot water and what the early pioneers went through. I know they went through a lot more than just cold showers, but that is something that just adds to the list of their hardships.

A few days after Thanksgiving, my sweet little niece was born (early). My parents and my sister and I headed over to Twin Falls Sunday morning to see the baby and the new parents. It was a fun trip and great to hold baby Claire. I got a new camera on my Black Friday adventures, so there have been a lot of pictures lately. Claire was the first recipient of this great new hobby!

Here are some other random shots from November. Chase and Carter continue to be such buds. Chase is getting to smile and show the cutest personality. He started on formula this month and really chunked out! There are times that he really resembles a bull-dog with his cheeks! We love it.

DECEMBER

December was lots of fun. We had family come into town from Phoenix that we don't get to see all that often, so everyday was a party. :) Layne and Lindsey even got to stay with us at our house for a few days after Christmas. It was so fun to see how Carter reacted and played with his cousins that he doesn't know too well. While they were here we went to a place called Jumpin Jungle. It is a place that is filled with bounce houses- Basically heaven for any 5 year old.. and Jaromy. It was lots of fun. When we first got there, Carter only wanted to play on the toy car.. the exact same toy that Stephanie has next door. But once he saw how much fun everyone else was having, he joined right in. The time there was cut short at Lindsey sprained her ankle. This injury seemed to just add to everything else that week. My boys had the flu, Kierra got strep the day she got here along with both kids the following two days, Lindsey sprained her ankle, Christmas Eve Steph's kids got the flu bug and two of them couldn't even join in on the festivities.. they were too busy puking! HOW FUN! :) But through it all, we did enjoy the holidays.

For Christmas, my mom does the 12 days of Christmas for each family. It is a lot of work that I know she puts into it, but it is also very fun for everyone. We tried to take pictures of each gift. The most popular gift- voted by Carter- was TOY STORY 3 or the giant candy cane. Jaromy's sister, Holly had her baby Dec. 22. This meant that his family went to Utah that day and spent all of the Christmas holiday down there. It was very different not to see them on Christmas day. We definitely missed them. It was nice, however, to have our own Christmas morning with Carter waking up telling us that Santa came and gave him toys. While we opened up presents, he thought that everyone (mine, dad's or Chase's) was Carters- in fact he still thinks that. To this day... you ask him where he got something (something simple) he responds with Santa. Wow, Santa really made an impression on him this year. The night before Christmas was fun and very traditional. We did our talent show, white elephant game, reading of Luke 2, and eating breakfast burritos. It was packed with lots of people, but we all had fun. Our family's talent this year was .... SOMERSAULTS! yes, we are a very talented family! IT was a very busy Christmas holiday and i found myself caught up in that, rather than the birth of our Savior. I loved the aftermath of Christmas and that Sunday right after was still celebrated with Christmas music and lessons. Here, I was reminded of our Savior's love and the real reason behind all the craziness.

JANUARY

let's see... not too much happened this January. Babies got bigger. Boys grew up a little more. Since I had been working a lot right before Christmas, I found myself not wanting to take any sub jobs, so this month, the boys and I had a lot of fun. We traveled to Utah for Baby Becca's wedding. It was so fun to see her and what a great mom Holly is! The main thing to report is that Chase has started to eat baby food more and more. He loves it! He loves his high chair. I can just tell, he feels apart of everything as we go about our day and he is in his chair. :) I started a diet this month. January 10th! I am just working out daily and counting my calories, allowing myself around 1200.

FEBRUARY

The holidays are over, therefore there is less to report on. However since this month is still in progress, my memory is a little bit better. This month we went to Twin Falls for Baby Claire's baby blessing. It was great fun. Steph's family, my family and my parents all slept at April's house. It was a crowded house, but it was a fun weekend. A few weeks later, one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world got married. We were able to travel over to Idaho Falls and be there for her sealing. It was beautiful and very spiritual. Jessica looked amazing and couldn't stop smiling! While there we saw Crystal and took Senior Pictures for her graduation coming in April!
To Date- I have lost 16 lbs. on my diet and lost 2 pants sizes! YAY! Lots more to go, but it feels great!

OKay... there it is. The low down on us for the last 4 months. I more than likely missed something great... we have been very busy and loving life. I noticed that there are random pictures in here with no caption or explanation- those ones I put in.. just because!

We have had quite the crazy few months. Jaromy's bday was in September. Mine was in October. Both were pretty low key, but fun. We went to dinner for Jaromy's. OUTBACK! Mainly for the bloomin onion! We went to dinner and a movie for mine. It was fun. Thanks to the wonderful family who watch the children so we could go. We got a new swing set, thanks to my wonderful sister. They got a trampoline and had to clear out the backyard. Carter likes it, but not as much as the tramp!

We went to Utah a week after Jaromy's bday for his Grandma's funeral. His grandma was such a wonderful lady, who even though I only knew her for a short time, she will always be remembered by me with such kindness, happiness and hope. She battled cancer for a long time and it was her time. The funeral was lovely. (the parts that i heard- when I wasn't in the hallway with two kids!)

Carter is growing so fast! I can't believe all the things he can do and say. He is constantly asking me "Mama, what'r you doining?" His new loves are suckers, running around the house with dad, and jumping next door with his cousins. He can say almost anything now, the only drawback is that usually I am the only one who can understand him. Starting today, he no longer takes naps. He still refuses to eat any fruits and most veggies. When I attempt to feed him such food, he picks at it like it might bite him and say "yucky!" He would watch Toy Story over and over and over again if allowed! He dances, does somersaults, tickles Chase, asks for songs of any subject matter, knows his name, and loves his family!!! He got a hair cut the other day. He looks like a different kid. Here are the before and after shots:

Chase is growing just as fast. He holds his head up great. He is learning to laugh and smiles ALL THE TIME. He loves his hand, and if his fist was just a smidge smaller, he would fit it in his mouth completely. He is such a good baby and doesn't get too picky and eating. I think his favorite time of the day is when Carter plays with him. He is a smiler, but smiles the biggest for his brother.

Chase Weldon Emery has arrived!!

Chase was born on Tuesday evening weighing 7 lbs 13 oz. He is absolutely perfect and we are already loving him in our home. Carter has adjusted pretty well to having him around and is constantly wanting to hold him. The delivery went well and now it is time for the full recovery and adjustment of two children. :)

Today is Carter's second birthday. We are having a little party to celebrate with Jaromy's family today and another little party this coming week with my family. I can't believe how fast the past 2 years have gone. We have learned so much from that little boy and continue to learn. Carter makes our home such a happy place to be. Thanks Carter for being a wonderful little boy and we hope you have a very happy birthday today.

We had a lot of fun doing fireworks on the fourth of July. I didn't get the greatest pictures, but here are a few. Carter really didn't enjoy the ones that we did, but he did like the ones in the air that the neighbors were doing. He just kept saying "bye bye" as we were doing the ones in the street.

So, I have had a few people ask for some prego pictures. This pregnancy I am not that good at taking pictures. This picture was taken probably 2 weeks ago. So at 34 weeks. I am getting closer! Can't wait until little baby no name Emery shows up!!!

Father's Day weekend!

For Father's Day weekend we went to McCall with Jaromy's Parents and brother. It was really fun and relaxing. The weather on Saturday was amazing. We went swimming, went to the Pancake House (of course) and just enjoyed being away. It was great. Carter really learned to love the water. He also has learned to love pospsicles. He wakes up every morning and starts asking for one about 8:30.

I know I am super late, but I wanted to wish my hubby a happy father's day. He just might be one of the greatest I know. I am grateful for him and I know that Carter loves him so very much. He does so much to take care of our family, yet he still manages to be the fun one in the group! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! I LOVE YOU!!!

I also want to tell my dad HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! He's a great dad... He has been such a great example to me my whole life! Thanks for all you do DAD!!! I LOVE YOU!

Just a thought....

Today as Carter and I were saying prayers over our lunch, I asked the Lord to help us always remember the things that we have. As I said this, I felt relief. I felt that no matter what trials or struggles we may face, we have so much more than that! After lunch and on our way upstairs for nap time, I sneezed...and in Carter's cute little non- enunciated voice, he said "Ess u" (bless you).
I have been blessed with so many wonderful things in life, especially a wonderful husband, son and another soon to be! Today is great day! Even though it is 45 degrees outside today and rainy.... it's a beautiful day!

It has been a while, but sadly enough I have not taken tons of pictures in the past month and a half. I need to get better at that! Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to...

When I was 16 or so, I got a hammock for my bday, and we finally set it up in the backyard these past few weeks. Here are my three nieces enjoying a Sunday swing!!!

We had a get together with some friends awhile ago and I thought I would post some pictures (why is this underlined!!! Sometimes I HATE posting because I wanna throw the computer out the walL!!!_) Anyways :) We did a fun spin off of Minute to Win it! It was a blast. Most of what we have is in video format....I will post those when I can, but here are some pictures.

She cares, nurtures and will do anything for anyone out there... especially her children. She is amazing! Being a mother is truly the greatest blessing in the world! I am so thankful to be a mother and to have the wonderful little boy that I do. I can't wait to have another little boy around.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

So, yesterday was our 3 year anniversary. It was wonderful. Jaromy was able to come home early from work, go grocery shopping, kick me out of the kitchen (actually- I was banned from the downstairs) as he made me dinner. Once dinner was in the oven, we dropped Carter off at Nana and Papa's while we went home and had a romantic candlelight dinner. He made me homemade Chicken Cour Don Bleu. It was delicious. Who knew that I married a man that could cook. I told him that from now on, he is doing the cooking. :) After dinner, we went on a walk along the green belt. It was beautiful. We used to walk along the same green belt when we were dating. It has been a great 3 years and I feel like such a lucky woman to have such a wonderful Man!!!

We are having A BOY!!!!!

We are very excited to have another little boy. Now we will have two little boys who (hopefully) can be good playmates! No names yet, but hopefully this will be taken care of before we go to the hospital this time. :) Warning.... This video is about 5 min. I didn't know how to cut just a short clip. Sorry!

These are my two newest projects. (apologies for the coloring of the bottom picture) The first picture is for Carter's new room and his big boy bed when that happens this summer. I finished it today. The bottom picture is a tie quilt I made of all the old t-shirts from way back when. I think the oldest is from 4th grade! :) I seem to want to sew a lot lately.... Any suggestions? Sometimes I feel the need to be creative, but don't feel creative.

This post was very random- a lot of catch up! Hopefully it doesn't take me another month to post again!

New Computer.... means PICTURES!

So, I can't fully blame the lack of pictures on the computer. I will give it 33% of the blame. 33% of the blame goes to my camera (because the battery dies every 3rd picture you take) and 33.9% to me. Sometimes, I am just horrible at taking pictures. I have friends out there who take great pictures and always seem to catch their kids, families or whatever it is in the best moment. I, sadly did not attain the gift. I have noticed that it has been quite a while since I have posted anything. Not too much has happened since November. Christmas, of course, but I dont think I have any pictures (the battery died that day!- this one wasn't my fault!). Here are some random shots from the past few months.

Jaromy's mom's bday was on thanksgiving day. A few days before I offered to make her a scrumptious birthday dinner- since we weren't going to be seeing them on thanksgiving. Little did I know that she wanted Salmon. For those of you that dont know, I don't like fish. It smells bad, feels weird (hence the gloves) and tastes like grossness. I didnt mind cooking it though, I just felt bad for those that had to eat it, since I didn't really know what I was doing. I was told, it turned out good! YAY!

Layne and Lindsey along with 3 beautiful boys surprised the family Thanksgiving day by showing up from PHX!!! Jaromy and I were the only ones who knew, since they were planning of staying with us. It was so fun to see them and have them here for Thanksgiving!

The fam went sledding on one of the few snowy days that allowed us to do so! Carter loved it!

Hello! It has been quite awhile since i have posted. Mainly because I hate our computer and the long process it takes to upload pictures.... but not to worry, we should be getting a new computer in about 1 week! Then, pictures will follow. But since i dont have pictures to share... I still thought I would share our exciting news. We are having another Baby! YAY! We will find out in 4 weeks if the little pea pod is a boy or girl! Yes, I know. Carter was born in July and it is currently October. I am a little slow on updating my blog! Anyhow, Carter had a great day. We celebrated his birthday with just Jaromy and I taking Carter to McDonald's for a happy meal. Which turned out to be quite disgusting... so we probably wont be returning real soon. We had a bday party for him a few days later because both grandma's were out of town on his birthday. We went to the park with a splash pad (Settler's Park) and had a BBQ. Carter loved every second of his party. He never cried or seemed upset, as you can tell by the pictures. He did receive lots of toys, books, clothes and other great gifts. Thanks everyone for coming. It was fun.

San Diego

San Diego, California....what a wonderful place. :) My family rented a beach house this year for a little family reunion. It was amazing. We were so close to the beach and had such a relaxing time. The house was amazing and big enough to fit all 24 members of my family. All of my siblings were able to be there, which was wonderful! The boys went to a Padres/Diamondbacks game one night, we went to Sea World, Jaromy and I got to go to the temple and we enjoyed every second we could on the beach or riding/running up and down the boardwalk. Here are some pictures to show the amazing time we had.

Easter was very fun this year. Carter had no idea what was going on, but we still went to an egg hunt done by our ward the Saturday before. There were only a few toddlers there who knew what the point was, so it was funny to see all the infants not care at all about the eggs.

Easter morning, we went to Nampa to attend church with Jaromy's parents. Jaromy's dad sang a beautiful solo during sacrament. After Church we went to my sister's house for dinner. There we also had an easter egg hunt. It was fun to see my nieces and nephews search for the eggs. Carter didn't really want to be there as it was his nap time! :) Easter was fun, but it also meant a little more to me this year. Jaromy and I read in the New Testament about the last week of Jesus' life. We read the whole week prior to Easter. It really made the reason that we celebrate Easter stronger and mean more to me than ever before.

I ran a 5K! By running I mean there was some definate walking involved! Our stake put on a 5K and I was determined to run in it. SO... for any of you who know me probably have to pick your jaw up off the ground while reading this. Running is and never has been my thing. In fact, I have always hated it. But, in attempts to get healthy and lose weight, I decided to run. SO, at the gym I run on the treadmill and have really started to enjoy it. It really makes me feel good. But back to the 5K. I don't care that I was last! :) All that matters to me is that i completed it!!! My time? 31 min 36 sec. woop woop!!

Carter is now eating table food. He won't eat some things and as it is still new, we are still trying out some foods with him. Here is the first time we gave him spaghetti. He doesn't seem to be ready for that texture. :)

This past weekend weekend Jaromy and I (along with Carter!) went to Salt Lake to celebrate Christmas!! Well, Jaromy gave me Wicked tickets for Christmas and we finally got to go see it!!! We had great seats and the show was amazing! Just as good as the time I saw it in Portland. Jaromy even loved it. We were able to leave Carter at Aunt Holly's house (THANKS!!!) and enjoy a date. It was tons of fun.

A long time coming

So, it seems that blogging needs to be an ongoing event. I haven't blogged anything since December and therefore, can't remember anything that has happened. And to spare everyone a long list of uneventful happenings...i will let the pictures tell the stories.

This is how Carter learned to crawl, except this time it seems as if his foot is stuck.

Jaromy and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary with a trip to Mona Lisa Fondue and to the Anniversary Inn...here are a few pictures of our room..it was amazing. We stayed in Sleeping Beauty's castle.

I have given in....i am downloading pictures to the borrowed computer so I can update my blog. A lot has happenend since December...(hopefully...that is a long time to go without anything new!). So, stay tuned for there will be lots to see and learn about the Emery's! :)

Christmas is here!!! a little late.

Okay, so I finally got some pictures recovered, hopefully there will be more to come. However this Christmas was so much fun with Carter. It was definately busy however. First of all, Layne and Lindsey (my bro and sis-in-law) along with my two cute little nephews (Jonah and Rex) came up from Phoenix for the week. It was so fun to see them. We went tubing up at Bogus and just relaxed with each other. First off, my parents tried something new this year. Instead of presents on Christmas day, they did the 12 days of Christmas. It was great. Each day there was a present to open and my parents focused a lot of the presents on the meaning of Christmas and to remember Christ. I enjoyed it all. It really made Christ the center of the season for us.

Christmas eve was spent with my family as we went to my sister Stephanie's house. We kept up many traditions. First being, breakfast burritos for dinner. Then on to the talent show. This talent show is special though. Everyone must participate, therefore; it becomes comedy hour for the adults' talents. For example, my sisters danced (choreographed) to a song from High School Musical 3. My brother taught a math lesson, my parents played a song using only the mouth pieces of a trumpet. Jaromy and I did a little lesson as well...how to put on makeup...(see picture below). After the talent show the traditions continued with acting out Luke 2 as my dad read it (since we had the baby- Jaromy and I were Mary and Joseph) then we did a white elephant game. I made pajamas (another tradition with our family- to be opened on Christmas eve) and shirts for my boys...they match! It's so cute!!!

After hanging with my fam, we went over to Jaromy's parents house. It was pretty fun. His brother was in town finally after being in brazil for the past 2 christmas's and holly (jar's sis) was in town too. We watched a movie and then off to bed for santa to come. One tradition that they have in their family is a scavengar hunt for their big presents. It was fun...and we were able to get almost all the clues without Dad's help. Opening presents was fun, especially with Carter. Jaromy's parents gave us a video camera...which we love. Carter got lots of little things that he loves as well. We hung out there for a bit then had dinner at my parent's house and after dinner, back to his parents house. CRAZY!! but we loved every second of it.

So our computer died a little while ago and I am currently using a loaner. Therefore, I have no pictures to update my post. Hopefully soon I can put some on. Carter is getting so big and growing everyday. He was officially 6 months old on the 24th of January. I can't believe that time has gone by so fast. I am loving life being a mom. Keep posted for pictures.

So, I haven't added anything in awhile. The month of November was very busy. First off, Travis, Jaromy's brother came home from his mission. He served in Brazil, Belem mission. It was fun to see him, but more fun to see Jaromy and him act like they were teenagers again...wrestling, joking and laughing with eachother. The weekend he came home all of Jaromy's family was there (except Crystal- on a mission in Chile). It was fun to have everyone there. We went to a BSU game and it was freezing. Poor Carter, he got his first cold from the game.

Carter also turned 4 months old this month! I can' believe how old he is getting. He is starting to hold onto his toes. He seems to have discovered his arms as he stares at them when they are in front of him. When we went to the doctor, (The shots weren't as bad this time) he weighed in at 17 lbs! He's a big one. He is in the 93rd percentile for height and weight and 90th for his head. So, very proportionate. :) He is doing so well. He is always happy and loves to talk and even yell at times. He did have a double ear infection the week before thanksgiving though. It was quite sad to see him so sad. But now that it is taken care of, he is much happier.

THANKSGIVING! We went to Utah to Jaromy's grandparents house in Ogden for Thanksgiving. It was fun. We stayed in SLC with Holly (his sister) for the first two nights and then stayed in Ogden at Craig and Kaleen's house (aunt and uncle). I love going to Jaromy's extended family gatherings because there are so many kids that are his cousins. They all loved Carter. I did go shopping and loved it! I went with Holly and got some great things for our nieces and nephews.

Autumn Fun!

Carter is now 3 months old! I can't believe how fast the time goes. He is loving to sit up and stand in his saucer...He seems to want to know what is going on always! He is a happy boy that loves to laugh and smile, especially at his daddy. He is getting so big and trying everyday to hold his bottle up by himself.

Last Saturday we went to the corn maze in Meridian. I know, Carter could care less, but I wanted to go and especially get some pictures. We had a lot of fun. Jaromy and I decided to go to the biggest maze first. About 30 minutes into the maze, we realized that you are supposed to get a card with a map and find a total of 16 check points in the maze. HA! All the time we wasted wandering around when there was no other end to find. So, we managed to get a card and do about to check point 11. It was fun. Carter would have rather been home in his crib napping. He did like the hayride, however. It was fun to go out as a family and enjoy the season. Here are some pictures of us at the corn maze.

So, the last few weeks have been crazy! October 9th was my birthday. Jaromy made it wonderful with making me breakfast in the morning and giving me a gift certificate to go get an hour massage! I loved it. My mom and sisters then came and got me to take me to lunch. Jaromy had to work, so we planned on going out the following day. However, the next day I got so sick, I couldn't stop throwing up. Saturday I had me family over for yummy sweet pork burritos and games. I had tons of fun.

That night, I went to the emergency room in the middle of the night after having two gall bladder attaks. What they found, was gall stones. I went to out patient surgery the following Thursday which was just a week ago. It was quite the crazy day. I had some great friends bring me dinner for the following few days to help me recover. SO, thank you natalie and Laura...loved the food.

Sadly enough, I do not have pictures of me puking, or having surgery...SO....this ones just to read! But I did get pictures done of Carter and will soon post them!

2 whole months!

Crazy that Carter is already two months old! The time has gone very fast, yet as I spend each day with him I feel that he is so much older than just 2 months. WIERD! :) So, we went to the doctor and got shots. It was a very sad day for Baby and Mommy. Jaromy was able to come to the appointment, which was very good because I don't think I could have held down Carter when he got the shots. He didn't have a bad day though. He did pretty well throughout the day. A little fussy but nothing big. We also found out that he weighs 14.1 lbs. and is 24.5 in. long! He is well in the 90+ percentile for both! I tried taking some 2 month pictures of him at home...he didn't appreciate the idea!

Jaromy's birthday was on the 16th of September (I know...I'm a little slow!). First we went to a park and celebrated his, my sister's and my nephew's birthdays with some pizza. Then, we had Jaromy's parents and grandma come over for dinner and cake and homemade icecream. The next day Jaromy and I were able to go to dinner while my mom watched Carter. Here are a few shots of him opening presents and blowing out his candles. It was fun to go to dinner just the two of us, but a little wierd without Carter there.

I can't believe that Fall is here. Jaromy is back in school, I am working again, and Carter is growing everyday. It seems like Carter was just born and he was just a little boy who didn' fit into any of his clothes. He now is starting to not fit into the same clothes but for another reason! Last week, we blessed Carter at church. It was a wonderful experience. My parents and sisters with their families were there. Jaromy's sisters all came from out of town for the weekend and we had lots of fun with them. It seems funny just how many pictures we take of Carter on a daily basis. Before he was born we were horrible at taking pictures of anything, and now the camera is always with us! I love being a mom. I can't believe what a blessing Carter has been in our lives and in our home. I am so grateful for my little family!

He finally arrived! Carter was born on July 24th at 2:25 PM. The labor and delivery went well and mom and baby are doing great. Here Carter looks a little drunk after such a wild ride! :)

This shower was given by my mom and sisters at my moms house. It was a lot of fun. We played a few games and then opened presents and of course stuffed ourselves with yummy food. One of the games/activites was for everyone to write down 5 of their favorite boy names for Jaromy and I to discuss. With all those names, we are still waiting until we see him!Opening presents

Baby Showers

I was given 2 showers. This one was at work given by Sharina and Maren. It was tons of fun. Everyone decorated solid white onesies for me to use. I now have quite the plethera of original onesies. Everyone was a little annoyed that there was no name to put on the cake, so baby boy Emery was the outcome. Sorry! Soon we will have a name!Decorating the onesies. Some were quite funny. I made one...not so funny or cute.
We played a game where we had to figure out the melted candy bar that was in the diaper. It was funny to watch everyone inspect the diaper, but pretty disgusting to inspect it yourself!

I just got done with my summer school class finally! It was a 3.5 hour class four days a week. It was only three weeks long though. But now that I'm done, I can start my summer break!! Yeah!! Right now, Val's getting her nails done with her friend Sharina and I'm loving my first Saturday without anything I have to do. It's a great feeling.

Anyway, we went camping over Memorial Day weekend and had so much fun. Even Val had fun although we were a little worried that she would be so uncomfortable. She had a great time. We went fishing and sat around the fire. The next day wasn't so great becaseu it rained, but we went fishing in the rain anyway. It was great!

I can't believe it is already May. It feels that time is going by so fast. I always thought that being pregnant would feel like forever, but it has flown by. We are still trying to decide on a name. As of now, I call him Baby Joe... because it makes me feel better that he has a temporary name! :) We have a list of about 15 names that Jaromy and I agree on. We are crossing off a few a week and hopefully the outcome will be permanent. It just seems that the both of us are very picky but with different tastes.

Hello to all!For those who haven't had contact with us for awhile... here's some old news.Jaromy and I got married in March of last year! We can't believe that it has been a year since we got married. We just finished moving for the 2nd time this year into University Housing. Jaromy is currently going to Boise State and is majoring in Finances. He has a full credit load and works 3 part time jobs- computer lab assistant, studio recording, and IT support with his dad. He likes it, but it keeps him very busy! He will be done with school in a year and a half! (hopefully!) Oh ya... and we are expecting! I am due July 19th! It is great. I am finally to the point where I feel pregnant and no longer fat. I am currently working at the same agency that I have worked at for the last 2 years. It is called Community Connections, Inc. I have moved into the office and am now a supervisor. I like it, but can't wait for July. Come July, I am going to be changing positions where I can work from home. We feel very blessed to have that opportunity.
